Job summary

Ajackus Consulting seeks a Lead Full Stack Engineer in a remote US role to guide architecture, development, and delivery of scalable web applications spanning frontend and backend. You will own technical decisions, mentor engineers, and ensure production-grade quality with strong AI/ML integrations.

You will collaborate with AI/ML teams, define robust service contracts, and drive multi-tenant, secure, and scalable systems using TypeScript, React, NestJS, PostgreSQL, and cloud tooling.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript.
• Deep hands-on experience with NestJS or similar backend frameworks.
• Strong hands-on experience with React and ability to deliver frontend features end to end.
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL, including schema design, migrations, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Mandatory experience building, integrating, or maintaining AI/LLM-powered features in production.
• Hands-on experience with LLM APIs and AI platforms such as OpenAI, Claude, LangGraph.
• Experience integrating AI/ML services with backend applications and designing reliable service-to-service contracts.
• Strong understanding of multi-tenant architecture, authorization, permissions, and data isolation.
• Experience with TypeORM or similar ORM frameworks.
• Experience with AWS cloud deployment, ECS, Fargate, or similar services.
• Infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform or similar tools.
• Experience as technical lead and in translating product roadmaps to engineering plans.
• Strong software architecture, security, and production reliability knowledge.
• Proficiency with Git, CI/CD, testing, and deployment practices.
• Excellent English communication and remote-work collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, development, and delivery of scalable web applications using TypeScript, React, NestJS, and PostgreSQL.
• Design multi-tenant architecture with robust authorization, permissions, and data isolation.
• Build and maintain scalable backend services, REST APIs, and database systems.
• Develop polished frontend applications with React and ensure responsive UX.
• Integrate AI-powered features and LLM-based applications into production systems.
• Define contracts between core services and AI processing components.
• Work with AI/ML engineers to establish clear integration contracts and workflows.
• Integrate with AI providers like OpenAI, Claude, LangGraph, or similar tools.
• Implement workflows for AI-driven recommendations, matching, and intelligent UX.
• Collaborate on system design, estimation, and architecture decisions.
