Job summary

The Alabama Power Company – Customer Solutions in Birmingham, AL seeks a Customer Analytics Manager to lead the analytics team and advance data-driven growth strategies across CSBD.

The role directs data scientists and analysts, develops AI-enabled analytics tools, and collaborates with Southern Company partners to enhance customer experiences. Strong leadership and cloud data platforms experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience required; high-performing teams preferred.
• Understanding of advanced analytical, statistical, and predictive modeling methodologies.
• Strategic understanding of data infrastructure, governance, and cataloging is a plus.
• Experience with Azure Databricks or similar cloud platforms is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of data scientists and data analysts.
• Direct and manage multiple data science initiatives with timely execution and deliverables.
• Partner with managers and SCS to integrate data science solutions into customer experiences and solutions.
• Lead development of tools for clients to leverage within their roles.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies for analytical tools improvement.
• Articulate findings to technical and non-technical audiences, including senior management and external clients.
• Support CSBD’s access to and engagement with internal/external data sources and systems.
• Utilize advanced analytics techniques and AI on large datasets to derive actionable insights.
• Convey data-driven insights for growth decisions across residential, commercial, industrial and unregulated segments.
• Develop deeper understanding of customers via internal and external data.
