Job summary

Abstra is seeking an AI-native builder and generalist to lead practical AI adoption across the organization. This hands-on role spans AI engineering, software development, integration, and business process automation, driving from problem to prototype to production.

The position is 100% remote from LATAM, with working hours aligned to US Pacific Time and a minimum 6-hour overlap. Join a fast-growing nearshore tech talent provider delivering impact for US and global clients.

Qualifications

• Deep hands-on experience with modern LLMs and AI tooling.
• Strong software development and integration skills across cloud/containers.
• Ability to prototype, iterate, and ship functional software independently.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving to translate requirements into solutions.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain internal AI agents and knowledge tools.
• Automate multi-step workflows across internal tools.
• Extend back-office platforms with AI models, APIs, and data stores.
• Automate document review, generation, and summarization workflows.
• Design lightweight internal apps and scripts when needed.
• Lead technical strategy and evaluate build vs buy decisions.
• Establish AI infrastructure, security, and governance practices.
• Collaborate with teams to prototype and deploy AI solutions.
