Job summary

Skanska USA Building seeks a Lead AI Application/Software Engineer to design, build, deploy and support lightweight AI-enabled applications for business use cases where off‑the‑shelf tools don’t fit.

You’ll work with the Digital team, IT architecture, security and business stakeholders to translate needs into scoped, shippable solutions, using AI-assisted development while ensuring correctness, security and maintainability.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software development experience
• 7+ years of experience with Python/TypeScript
• 5+ years of data modeling and application security fundamentals
• 3+ years of experience using Azure PaaS
• 2+ years of hands-on use of AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Github, Copilot, Codex, Cursor)
• 2+ years of experience reviewing and testing AI-generated code for correctness, security, and maintainability
