Job summary

Ag-Pro Companies in Alliance, OH is seeking an experienced Service Technician to diagnose and repair John Deere equipment, mentor junior techs, and support customer clinics. You will ensure accurate time accounting, complete documentation, and adherence to safety standards while maintaining tools and a clean work area.

The role requires 3+ years in field service, strong diagnostic skills, and a valid driver’s license (CDL preferred).

Qualifications

• 3+ years of service repair experience on agricultural or heavy equipment.
• Experience using diagnostic tools and following Technical Manual procedures.
• Experience with mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems on off-road equipment.
• Experience operating diagnostic tools and basic computer functions.
• CDL/driver's license preferred; ability to lift at least 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostics and repairs on John Deere equipment and technology.
• Mentors Service Technician Trainees and Service Technicians.
• Conducts or supports customer clinics.
• Accountable for billable time and assigned work orders.
• Responsible for thorough documentation of diagnostics and repairs and timely submittal.
• Possibly participate in Service EDUCATE training programs.
• Operates and maintains vehicles, tools and equipment required to perform job responsibilities.
• Maintains a clean, neat and orderly work area.
• Follows safety rules and maintains knowledge of John Deere products.
