Job summary

Reingold is seeking a Lead Agentic Software Engineer to build client platforms—content management systems, e‑commerce, and web apps—while bringing AI agents and automation into the workflow. You will work on government, nonprofit, and commercial client projects in a senior individual‑contributor role.

You’ll design production systems, evaluate AI tools, and set engineering and quality standards across teams. Hybrid role with on‑site work in Alexandria, VA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with seven+ years shipping production web apps
• Experience with enterprise CMS platforms: WordPress, Umbraco/.NET, AEM or headless CMS
• Strong full‑stack skills with React/TypeScript; API design; relational and NoSQL databases
• Engineering e‑commerce: storefront, checkout, catalog, orders, reporting
• Production experience with large language models and agent/workflow automation
• Automated testing design: E2E or regression in CI pipelines
• Clear technical communication to technical and non‑technical audiences
• U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain/maintain government suitability/clearance

Responsibilities

• Architect and ship production web apps, platforms, and integrations
• Lead full‑stack development across modern JS frameworks and servers
• Define and run agent behavior evaluations and iterate on systems
• Establish responsible AI and data governance for public/regulated work
• Lead architecture for enterprise CMS platforms and e‑commerce integrations
• Build and deploy e‑commerce solutions across platforms like Adobe Commerce, Shopify
• Manage CI/CD pipelines, containerized/serverless deployments, monitoring
• Own quality with automated tests and accessibility standards
• Evaluate AI platforms/tools and build reusable components across engagements
• Mentor developers and provide technical direction across projects
