Verizon is hiring a seasoned AI/ML engineer to design, deploy, and optimize state-of-the-art agentic systems for the Verizon Consumer Group. You will translate architectural designs into production-grade code while ensuring reliability and scale across large user bases.

You will work in a hybrid role with office presence required several days per week, collaborating with cross-functional teams to advance customer experiences through innovative AI solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or four+ years of work experience.
• 6+ years of relevant experience building AI/ML models and LLM apps.
• Hands-on experience with Agile software development.
• Experience with AI agent frameworks and deployment at scale.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and scale agentic AI/ML solutions and LLM-powered systems.
• Integrate AI agent frameworks with customer success and digital channels.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineering on production roadmaps.
• Participate in code reviews, design sessions, and security reviews.
• Optimize inference pipelines, APIs, and data integration for performance.
• Prototype emerging AI frameworks and evaluate them quickly.
• Document specifications and showcase pilot results.
