Job summary

Verizon is seeking a senior AI/ML Engineer to build, optimize, and deploy agentic AI/ML models within the Verizon Consumer Group AI team. Translate designs into production code, ensuring reliability, performance, and scale while collaborating with product and engineering teams.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in AI/ML, a CS/Engineering degree, hands-on work with LLMS, Agile methods, and cloud-native tech (GCP).

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of work experience.
6+ years of relevant experience in AI/ML, demonstrated via work or training.
1+ years hands-on experience building, tuning, or integrating AI/ML models and LLM apps.
Experience with Agile software development methodologies.

Responsibilities

Develop, test, and scale agentic AI/ML solutions and LLM-powered systems for Verizon Consumer Group platforms.
Integrate AI agent frameworks with existing customer success, digital, and retail tech.
Collaborate with product managers and engineering to implement production-grade roadmaps.
Participate in code reviews and design sessions to ensure safe model behavior.
Optimize inference pipelines, APIs, and data integration for high performance.
Support rapid prototyping and evaluate emerging AI frameworks.
Document specifications and prepare pilot performance materials.
