Job summary

Verizon is seeking a Senior Agentic AI Engineer to lead the design and deployment of autonomous, interoperable multi-agent systems that drive business outcomes. You will blend data science with production-grade AI, orchestrating agents that reason, plan, and act within enterprise environments.

You will collaborate with executives and cross-functional teams to align AI strategy with business goals, ensuring security, observability, and measurable impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Four+ years of relevant experience through work, military, or specialized training.
• Two+ years focused on Generative AI, LLMs, and autonomous agent systems.
• Four+ years developing and implementing AI solutions for complex business problems.
• Hands-on proficiency with LangChain, LangGraph, Google ADK, LlamaIndex, or AutoGen.
• Experience designing agent-to-agent (A2A) communication protocols and Model Context Protocol (MCP).
• Experience with agent memory and state management.
• Knowledge of RAG, ONNX embeddings, vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, pgvector).
• Cloud-scale data engineering: BigQuery pipelines and GCP/Vertex AI/Bedrock/Azure.
• Python and SQL for modeling, prompt engineering, and data extraction.

Responsibilities

• Architect and deploy scalable multi-agent AI systems with agent workflows and delegation hierarchies.
• Integrate LLMs with enterprise systems via APIs and MCP for autonomous agents.
• Build enterprise pipelines for autonomous, continuously executing workflows.
• Design RAG systems with ONNX embeddings for context-aware outputs.
• Manage agent memory and state with short-, mid-, and long-term storage.
• Oversee full agent lifecycle: training, deployment, monitoring, and security guardrails.
• Develop propensity models, classifiers, and forecasting to inform agent decisions.
• Translate AI outputs into actionable strategies for leadership and partners.
• Validate AI models and analytics to ensure reliability and business impact.
