Job summary

Redwire Space in Littleton, CO (or Albuquerque, NM) seeks a seasoned Structural Analyst to lead static and dynamic FEM analyses for spacecraft structures and mechanisms. You will work with design, thermal, and systems teams to optimize solutions and deliver clear test plans and reports.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of FEA experience with FEMAP/NASTRAN, is prepared for travel, and can pursue necessary security clearances. On-site work with aerospace projects is expected.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• FEA experience with FEMAP and NASTRAN preferred.
• Ability to obtain and hold a security clearance.
• Ability to travel to support milestone reviews and structural testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop system-level static and dynamic finite element models using FEMAP/NASTRAN.
• Perform detailed stress analysis of metallic and composite structures.
• Collaborate with design, thermal, and systems teams to optimize solutions.
• Review designs and drawings, providing actionable feedback.
• Prepare technical reports and design review materials for internal and external reviews.
• Develop test plans and procedures; execute on-site tests and post-test correlation.
• Independently develop solutions and analysis approaches with minimal oversight.
