Job summary

Redwire Space in Colorado (Littleton or Albuquerque) seeks an experienced Structural Analyst to lead analyses of satellite and launch-vehicle structures. You will run static and dynamic FEMAP/NASTRAN models, review designs, and generate technical reports for internal and customer reviews.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, a relevant engineering degree, and the ability to obtain a security clearance, with occasional <10% travel to milestone reviews and testing.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• FEA experience with FEMAP and NASTRAN preferred.
• Ability to obtain and hold a security clearance.
• Ability to travel to support milestone reviews and structural testing (<10%).

Responsibilities

• Develop system-level static and dynamic finite element models using FEMAP/NASTRAN.
• Perform detailed stress analysis of metallic and composite structures.
• Collaborate with design, thermal, and systems teams to optimize solutions.
• Review designs and drawings, providing feedback to the Mechanical Design team.
• Prepare technical reports and design review materials for internal/customer reviews.
• Develop static and dynamic test plans, procedures, and predictions.
• On-site test execution, data processing, post-test model correlation and reporting.
• Independently develop solutions and analysis approaches with minimal oversight.
