Job summary

Redwire Loadpath, LLC a Redwire business unit, seeks an experienced Structural Analyst to advance satellite and launch vehicle structures. You will develop FEMAP/NASTRAN models, perform stress analyses, and collaborate with design, thermal, and systems teams across multiple sites.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in mechanical or aerospace structural analysis, familiarity with SolidWorks, and the ability to obtain a security clearance; some travel (<10%) is expected.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• FEA experience with FEMAP and NASTRAN preferred.
• Ability to obtain and hold a security clearance.
• Ability to travel to support milestone reviews and structural testing (<10%).

Responsibilities

• Develop system-level static and dynamic finite element models using FEMAP/NASTRAN.
• Perform detailed stress analysis of metallic and composite structures.
• Work with mechanical design, thermal, and systems teams to optimize solutions.
• Review engineering designs and drawings, providing clear feedback to the Mechanical Design team.
• Prepare and present technical reports, results, and design review materials.
• Develop static and dynamic test plans, test procedures, and predictions.
• On-site test execution, data processing, post-test model correlation, and test reporting.
• Independently develop solutions and analysis approaches with minimal oversight.
