Pratt & Whitney in Asheville, NC is seeking a Process Quality Engineering leader in the ACF to drive control plans, quality systems, and continuous improvement across the product value stream. You will develop quality controls, perform root cause analysis, and lead improvement initiatives to minimize defects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 8 years related experience or an advanced degree and 5 years.
• U.S. Citizenship required due to government contract.
• Leadership & management experience.
• Experience with AS9100 / ISO 9001 quality systems.
• Proficient in quality tools: FAI, PFMEA, DFMEA, GR&R, GD&T.
• Root cause corrective action and non-conformance elimination.
• DMAIC / CORE / Six Sigma or Lean Systems experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills across levels.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements quality strategies and systemic controls with Manufacturing Engineering and Operations.
• Provides leadership in PRTs and technical investigations.
• Analyzes and presents data to support quality improvements.
• Identifies required QMS improvements for new internal product line.
• Leads FAA & AS9100 scope expansion and maintains compliance.
• Works to minimize defects and prevent customer escapes.
• Leads DMAIC, CORE and Lean initiatives to reduce costs and cycle times.
• Supports MRB processes and communication across ACF and P&W.
