Job summary

SEKISUI Aerospace in Renton, WA is seeking a Painter Lead to spray protective coatings on manufactured products, manage daily production activities, and lead a safety-conscious team. The role operates on the 1st shift from 4:30am to 2:00pm, with hourly pay ranging from $30.25 to $34.25, depending on experience and DOE.

The successful candidate will coordinate work, monitor progress, and collaborate with engineering, logistics, and quality to ensure high-quality finishes and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience using paint tools is a plus.
• Strong leadership and the ability to coach team members.
• Ability to read and follow instructions precisely.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and organize work departments daily.
• Provide direction and schedule production team members' daily activities.
• Frequently monitor and report on work progress.
• Communicate with departments about needs, priorities, and issues.
• Promote flow and pull of products and information to internal and external customers.
• Identify, investigate, and address problems on the production floor.
• Coach, mentor, and develop team members by investigating root causes of scrap and RMA issues.
• Train and orient new employees on company standards and procedures.
• Implement 5S tools and reduce variation in the work environment.
• Identify and lead continuous improvement activities.
• Ensure goals and feedback are provided to employees.
• Adjust and spray required parts to specifications.
• Check finished parts meet specifications.
• Select parts to be painted.
• Mix coating liquids per job requirements.
