Job summary

Ascent Aerospace seeks an engineer to lead programming, commissioning, and testing of automated assembly equipment for aerospace customers. You will design PLC/HMI logic, CNC programming, and drive configuration with responsibility from concept through production.

You will work with a team to ensure safe, efficient startup at client facilities, travel up to 50%, and compliance including ITAR and export controls; strong communication and problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Proficient with PLC, CNC, and HMI programming.
• Experience meeting export control requirements (ITAR/U.S. person).

Responsibilities

• Design, write, test, and document PLC and HMI software.
• Program CNC and drive configurations for automated systems.
• Support installation, commissioning, and production at customer sites.
• Design complex systems integrating hardware and software controls.
• Develop and implement company standards for project execution.
