Job summary

The Atlas Group is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to lead the AI/CNC programming group in delivering high-precision aerospace components. You will design and optimize NC programs for extrusion, hog-out, forging, and casting projects, across 3- to 5-axis mills, ensuring efficient tool paths and production-ready documentation.

Must have eight years in aerospace CAD/CAM programming, with strong metalworking background and ability to work in a fast-paced schedule.

Qualifications

• Eight years of aerospace CAD/CAM programming experience.
• Very strong aerospace precision metalworking background.
• Capable of supporting a fast-paced programming schedule with accurate NC programming.

Responsibilities

• Acts as lead CNC technical advisor for the CNC programming group.
• Provides efficient programming templates for fellow programmers.
• Designs NC programs for large extrusion, hogout, forging, casting, and tooling products.
• Develops 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis milling programs for customer parts.
• Provides setup documentation and validates NC programs using verification software.
• Places NC programs on the machine server and assists in troubleshooting production issues.
