Job summary

HCA Florida Osceola Hospital in Kissimmee, FL is seeking a Lead Advanced Paramedic ED to coordinate emergency care and communicate with the care team and physicians. You will ensure patient safety, participate in ongoing development, and uphold clinical standards.

Required: Paramedic credential, vocational school graduate, and at least 3 years of EMS experience, plus ACLS, BLS and PALS within specified timeframes. This is a full-time on-site role in the hospital setting.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
• Basic Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• PALS must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
• Paramedic certification is required.
• Graduation from a vocational school is required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the field.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate emergency department paramedic activities.
• Communicate patient status to team members and attending physicians.
• Report to the Director of Emergency Services and participate in meetings.
• Maintain patient safety and charting competency, and support department growth.
• Foster positive relationships with patients, visitors, staff and physicians.
