Job summary

Orlando Health in Florida is seeking an Emergency Department Paramedic to deliver and document individualized patient care in collaboration with the ED team. You will perform triage, airway management, IV access, ECG interpretation and administer interventions within Florida scope.

This role requires completion of a paramedic program and current Florida PMD certification, plus BLS, ACLS, and within one year, PALS.

Qualifications

• Successfully completed a Paramedic program.
• Current Florida PMD Paramedic certification.
• Maintains BLS/Healthcare provider certification.
• Maintains ACLS certification.
• Must obtain PALS within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Delivers advanced patient care in the Emergency Department as directed within Florida scope.
• Maintains airway patency, IV access, and ECG interpretation.
• Communicates patient condition to the Nursing Operations manager or designee.
• Maintains regular attendance and compliance with Orlando Health policies.
• Maintains ED readiness: cleanliness, safety, stocking, and regulatory compliance.
• Assesses patients across age groups per ED policies and competencies.
