Job summary

Moog Inc. in East Aurora, NY, seeks an Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead a team of 4-5 engineers and drive next-generation manufacturing technologies.

You will research, develop, test, and implement advanced manufacturing solutions to improve production, adapt processes, and deliver results on time. You will report to the Director, collaborate across engineering and operations, manage projects from concept to production, and apply TRL/MRL frameworks while supporting relocation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical field.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing engineering, automation, or related fields.
• Ability to lead and mentor others.
• Fundamental knowledge of TRL and MRL concepts.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of manufacturing systems, software, electronics, and electromechanical systems.
• General knowledge of AI applications in engineering.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Willingness to travel 10-15%.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop, test and implement advanced manufacturing technologies across diverse products and processes.
• Manage, advise and prioritize activities for 4-5 Advanced Manufacturing Engineers.
• Communicate and manage technical requirements with collaborators and suppliers for project success.
• Develop relationships with universities, suppliers and research organizations in advanced manufacturing.
• Plan and report on projects from early stages to production implementation.
• Apply TRL and MRL frameworks in project planning and execution.
• Interact with Moog teams across sites to meet business needs and opportunities.
• Support manufacturing improvements leading to productivity gains.
• Travel as technologies and projects require and adapt to changes.
