Job summary
Moog is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager - Automation in East Aurora to lead the development and deployment of next-generation manufacturing technologies. You will drive the Automation Engineering team, collaborate with manufacturing, operations, engineering, and quality partners, and shape the factory's automation roadmap as Moog transitions into the AIM facility.
The role requires leadership in fast-paced environments, expertise in automation and robotics, and strong communication
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline.
- 7+ years in manufacturing engineering, automation, robotics or related fields.
- Experience leading technical teams and projects.
- Experience applying automation in manufacturing environments.
- Understanding of automation systems, robotics, controls, and software.
- Familiarity with TRL/MRL frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Build, lead, and develop an automation engineering team supporting manufacturing operations in East Aurora.
- Identify, evaluate, and implement automation technologies to improve productivity and quality.
- Lead automation projects from concept to production deployment with planning, testing, and validation.
- Develop roadmaps for automation aligned with the AIM transition.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation.
- Manage priorities, resources, schedules, and external suppliers.
- Apply TRL and MRL methodologies to support development and deployment.
- Explore emerging technologies such as robotics, machine vision, and AI-enabled solutions.
