Job summary

Intuitive is seeking a Senior Manager, Advanced Systems Engineering to lead the technical development of a portfolio of advanced energy products for robotic surgical platforms. You will own objectives, roadmaps, staffing, and budgets for multiple concurrent programs, aligning across cross-functional teams to move technology from benchtop to bedside.

• Proven people-management across multiple teams.
• Experience leading energy or medical device programs.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and executive communication.

Responsibilities

• Own the objectives, work plans, staffing, and budgets for multiple concurrent advanced-energy development efforts.
• Establish budgets, schedules, and resource plans across parallel programs at differing maturity.
• Direct HW/SW requirements generation and modelling; set methods and standards.
• Oversee system-level technical risk registers and cross-program mitigation.
• Govern system architecture and verification plans across the portfolio.
• Set direction for hardware and software teams to meet design requirements.
• Support quality and regulatory processes as required.
• Represent the portfolio to senior leadership and influence key decisions.
• Generate technical reports for regulatory submission.
• Select, develop, and retain talent; build the next layer of technical leaders.
• Contribute to clinical discussions with stakeholders and drive IP landscape.
• Understand business environment and relate tech trends to medicine and surgery.
• Landscape and generate valuable intellectual property.
