Job summary

Suncoast Behavioral Health Center in Bradenton, FL seeks a Lead Therapist to oversee adolescent unit therapy. The role ensures scheduled programming, staff education, and active participation in adolescent treatment teams.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, mental health counseling.
• Current license from the State of Florida, such as LCSW, LMFT, LMHC preferred.
• Four (4) years direct clinical experience specific to family, individual and group therapy with child and adolescent patients with psychiatric diagnoses preferred.
• One – two (1-2) years experience in clinical and administrative supervision preferred.
• Knowledge of discharge planning and community resources as well as knowledge of implementation of individualized treatment modalities (CBT, DBT, trauma informed care).
• Knowledge of human development over the life span.

Responsibilities

• Lead Therapist oversees all therapeutic responsibilities on the adolescent units.
• Ensure programming occurs as scheduled and educate staff to increase competency for all groups.
• Respond and support therapists in family communications and attend adolescent treatment teams.
• Assist with development and implementation of activities on the adolescent units to meet organizational objectives.
