Job summary

Suncoast Behavioral Health Center in Bradenton, FL seeks a Lead Therapist to oversee adolescent unit therapy. The role ensures scheduled programming, staff education, and active participation in adolescent treatment teams.

Responsibilities include family communications support and developing activities aligned with organizational goals. The position requires a Master’s in social work or mental health counseling and Florida licensure (LCSW/LMFT/LMHC preferred) with several years of relevant

• Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, mental health counseling.
• Current license from the State of Florida, such as LCSW, LMFT, LMHC preferred.
• Four (4) years direct clinical experience specific to family, individual and group therapy with child and adolescent patients with psychiatric diagnoses preferred.
• One – two (1-2) years experience in clinical and administrative supervision preferred.
• Knowledge of discharge planning and community resources as well as knowledge of implementation of individualized treatment modalities (CBT, DBT, trauma informed care).
• Knowledge of human development over the life span.
