Job summary

Suncoast Behavioral Health Center in Bradenton, FL is seeking a Program Coordinator to blend clinical interventions with milieu management on the unit.

You will ensure patient safety, supervise on-shift staff, and coordinate psychoeducation groups while partnering with Social Services to tailor interventions.

The role also involves leading afternoon and weekend programming and training staff in CPR, de-escalation techniques, Handle With Care, and Trauma Informed Care initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2–3 years of experience in behavioral health or hospital setting preferred.
• Knowledge of clinical skills to assess stabilization, risk factors, and verbal de-escalation.
• Must be able to lift over 50 lbs and participate in physical restraint and Handle With Care trainings.

Responsibilities

• The Program Coordinator ensures patient safety on the unit and assists in managing MHTs on shift.
• Provides clinical interventions and coordinates milieu management with the treatment team.
• Runs psychoeducation and enrichment groups in afternoon and weekend programming.
• Liabilities between Social Services and MHTs for proper interventions and milieu needs.
