Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Lead Additive Manufacturing Engineer in Greenville, SC to own maturation of AM processes from concept to production. The role blends technical troubleshooting with cross-functional leadership across design, manufacturing, and services, focusing on LPBF and other modalities.

The ideal candidate has hands-on LPBF/DE/Binder Jetting experience, strong DfAM skills, and a track record of industrializing new products. Travel domestically and internationally (<10%) may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or related discipline; 6 years of relevant experience.
• 3–5 years of progressive experience in manufacturing or design engineering.
• Demonstrated technical proficiency in Additive Manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Technical Ownership: Lead the execution of additive products and process improvements from build file development to part qualification and documentation.
• Production Maturation: Advance MRL levels and transition qualified additive technologies into the Gas Power supply chain.
• Collaborative Problem Solving: Lead RCA for additive hardware and processes and partner with plant manufacturing, supply chain, and service teams to industrialize workflows.
• Strategic DfAM Leadership: Act as SME in DfAM including topology optimization, lattice structures, and generative design; mentor cross-functional teams.
• Process Excellence: Drive Kaizen initiatives and standardize engineering processes to meet safety, quality, and cost objectives.
