Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a versatile Lead Additive Manufacturing Engineer to mature AM processes and products from concept to full production deployment. You will bridge design innovation and manufacturing reality, with LPBF as the primary technology and exposure to Binder Jetting, EBAM, DED.

You will own technical responsibilities, advance MRL levels, and lead DFAM initiatives while coordinating with manufacturing, supply chain, and services teams. Travel <10% is expected; export-controlled eligibility is required.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated technical proficiency in Additive Manufacturing.
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally (<10%).
  • U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder with the ability to work on export-controlled technology.

Responsibilities

  • Technical Ownership: Lead the execution of additive products and process improvements. Own the lifecycle from build file development and post-processing to part qualification and documentation.
  • Production Maturation: Advance MRL levels and lead the transition of qualified additive technologies and products into the Gas Power supply chain.
  • Collaborative Problem Solving: Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for additive hardware and processes. Partner with plant manufacturing, supply chain, and service teams to industrialize additive workflows.
  • Strategic DfAM Leadership: Act as a subject matter expert in Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM), including topology optimization, lattice structures, and generative design. Mentor cross-functional teams to integrate these principles into product development.
  • Process Excellence: Drive continuous improvement via Kaizen initiatives; contribute to the standardization of engineering processes to ensure safety, quality, and cost objectives are met.
