Job summary

AXA XL is seeking a motivated actuary to lead the pricing for the Americas Property Excess & Surplus portfolio. You will guide junior members and drive profitability through advanced analytics, pricing tools, and collaboration across Governance, Underwriting, and IT.

The role is based primarily in Exton, PA with flexibility for NYC, Boston, or Hartford. Strong CAS credentials and Property & Casualty pricing experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Applied Math, Statistics, or related field.
• Qualified actuary through the Casualty Actuarial Society.
• Experience in Property & Casualty actuarial pricing or reserving.
• Strong communication and collaboration across functions.
• Advanced Excel skills and data analysis capabilities.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Portfolio management including base loss ratio for business planning, profitability studies and deep dives, pricing metrics reporting and dashboard development.
• Pricing tool data collection oversight, analysis, quality checking, and reporting.
• Adhere to regulatory standards and organizational policies.
• Train underwriters on pricing matters to equip the team with necessary tools.
• Develop, test, calibrate, and maintain pricing models and complex rating algorithms.
• Collaborate with Governance, CUO, Underwriting, Reserving, Claims, Models & Analytics, IT, Compliance.
• Leverage AXA XL capabilities such as Geospatial Underwriting and Risk Consulting.
• Report to Head of Pricing, Americas Property Lines and Multinational Solutions.
