Job summary

AXA XL seeks a motivated actuary to lead the Americas Property Pricing team for the Excess and Surplus Property portfolio. You will guide pricing strategy, support global and regional activities, and mentor junior staff while ensuring profitability through advanced analytics and robust governance.

The role is primarily based in Exton, PA, with flexibility for NYC, Boston, or Hartford candidates. You will collaborate with multiple functions to refine models, develop pricing tools, and deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Applied Math, Statistics, or related field
• Qualified actuary through the Casualty Actuarial Society
• Experience in Property & Casualty actuarial pricing or reserving
• Motivated, strategic thinker with strong collaboration and integrity
• Advanced in Excel
• Legally authorized to work in the posting country

Responsibilities

• Portfolio management: loss ratio base, profitability studies, pricing metrics, dashboards
• Pricing tool data collection oversight, quality checks and reporting
• Ensure regulatory compliance and policy adherence
• Build strong stakeholder relationships and meet needs
• Provide training to underwriters on pricing
• Leverage pricing tools and analytics to improve models and processes
• Collaborate with Governance, CUO, Underwriting, Reserving, Claims, Analytics, IT
• Support development, testing, calibration, and maintenance of pricing models and algorithms
• Utilize AXA XL capabilities like Geospatial Underwriting and Risk Consulting
