Job summary

AXA XL in Exton, PA, with flexibility for NYC, Boston or Hartford, seeks an actuary to lead pricing for the Americas Property Excess & Surplus portfolio. You will drive profitable pricing, portfolio management, and analytics, training underwriters, and collaborating across Governance, CUO, IT, and other teams.

The role requires CAS qualifications, strong Excel, and Property & Casualty pricing experience, with a focus on accuracy and stakeholder partnership. Hybrid/onsite setup offered.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Applied Math, Statistics, or related field.
Qualified actuary through the Casualty Actuarial Society.
Experience in Property & Casualty pricing or reserving.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Lead pricing for the Excess and Surplus Property portfolio and support global and Americas pricing activities.
Perform portfolio management, base loss ratio selection, profitability studies, and dashboards.
Oversee pricing tool data collection, quality checks, and reporting.
Train underwriters on pricing topics and collaborate with Governance, CUO, Underwriting, and IT.
Develop, test, calibrate, and maintain pricing models and rating algorithms.
