Job summary

AXA XL in the United States is seeking a pricing actuary to join the North America Middle Market Pricing team. You will lead pricing analyses, develop analytical solutions, and influence pricing decisions across the portfolio.

Collaboration with underwriting and actuarial leaders is essential to drive profitable growth and portfolio management. You will report to an eligible actuary on the Insurance North America Middle Market Pricing and Analytics team, mentoring junior analysts and presenting

Qualifications

Extensive actuarial analytics or insurance data analysis experience.
Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, Mathematics, Applied Math, Statistics, or related field.
Near ACAS designation or recently attained ACAS credential and commitment to professional development.
Experience using Python, R, SQL or similar tools to analyze data and derive insights.

Responsibilities

Lead pricing analyses and support pricing strategy development with underwriting and actuarial leaders.
Deliver actuarial analyses and pricing recommendations for accounts and portfolio decisions.
Monitor portfolio performance, rate adequacy, pricing effectiveness, and profitability trends.
Analyze results across industries/geographies to support underwriting strategy and renewal actions.
Lead development and governance of pricing models and segmentation approaches.
Perform loss, claims, trend and competitive analyses to inform pricing decisions.
Mentor junior analysts through technical guidance and collaboration.
