Job summary

Catholic Charities of Baltimore's St. Ann Adult Day Service seeks a Lead Activity Assistant (GNA) to plan, coordinate, and lead daily activities for elders and disabled participants. You will monitor well-being, engage caregivers, volunteers, and staff, and ensure a responsive environment.

The role runs Monday to Friday from 7 AM to 3 PM with opportunities to impact daily living and safety. Senior activity coordination experience, CPR/First Aid, and strong communication are essential to support

Qualifications

• Three years of experience coordinating activities for the elderly.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification or obtain within six months.

Responsibilities

• Develop monthly and daily activity schedules for staff.
• Plan and execute activities meeting participants' needs and interests.
• Coordinate outings and field trips with staff.
• Assist with activity assessments and maintain inventory of supplies.
• Encourage participation in arts, crafts, music, and other activities.
• Support transportation and assist participants to and from vehicles.
• Address caregiver concerns and support the Program Director.
• Ensure a safe, clean dining and activity environment.
• Provide personal care under nursing supervision and monitor vital signs as required.
• Assist in staff training and maintain records and communications.
