Job summary

Medical Facilities Of America, Inc. seeks an Activities Assistant for a long term care facility in Baltimore, MD. You will plan and direct the Activity Department to support residents’ well-being, coordinating group activities and outings.

You will assist with 1-on-1 activities, transport residents as needed, and work with other disciplines to deliver patient-centered care. A high school diploma and 3 years in a Skilled Nursing Facility are required.

Qualifications

• Plan, organize and direct the activity department to meet residents' well-being.
• Coordinate group activities and assist with 1-on-1 engagement.
• Ensure confidentiality and HIPAA compliance in care activities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, develop and direct the overall operation of the Activity Department in accordance with standards and policies.
• Facilitate group activities.
• Encourage activity involvement and chart attendance.
• Assist with 1 on 1 activities, transport residents to and from activities.
• Assist with outings and special events and other duties.
• Collaborate with all disciplines to provide patient-centered care.
• Maintain confidentiality and residents' rights.
