Job summary

Catholic Community Services in Tacoma, WA, is hiring a Lead Activities Assistant to schedule programming, support daily activities, and document case notes for Adult Day Care services. You will lead group and independent activities, promoting client strengths and community integration in a respectful, person-centered framework.

The role emphasizes safety, documentation accuracy, and collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team to meet individual care plans and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CNA/NAC/HCA certification preferred or required.
• Must obtain Food Handlers Card within 2 weeks of employment.
• First Aid and CPR certification must be obtained within 2 weeks of employment.
• Two years’ experience as Activities Assistant or scheduling activities.
• Experience with homeless populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule programming and oversee monthly calendar of activities.
• Support daily delivery of activities and ensure safety and quality standards.
• Document participation notes and follow care plans per WAC requirements.
• Provide ADL support with dignity and respect during programming.
• Foster client input, autonomy, and inclusive activities for diverse clients.
• Maintain a clean, organized activity space and collaborate with the team.
