Providence PACE Oregon, Hillsboro, invites applications for a Lead Activities Aide responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and delivering a broad recreational program for our elderly participants at the Providence PACE Tanasbourne site.

The ideal candidate will have experience leading therapeutic group activities, plus a Bachelor's degree in Recreational Therapy or a related field, and relevant activity certifications.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading therapeutic group activities and discussions.
  • Background check may be required per DHS/location.
  • On-site work with elderly participants in PACE program.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, organizes, directs, and participates in a broad recreational program for Providence PACE participants.
  • Provides activities that promote health, independence, and community engagement.
  • Collaborates with care teams to assess participant needs and adjust activities.

Job Description

Plans, organizes, directs, and participates in a broad program of recreational services appropriate for the participants of Providence PACE Tanasbourne site.

Required Qualifications
  • In compliance with company policy and state regulations, a Department of Human Services (DHS) criminal background check may be required for this position based upon the location of the position upon hire. Fingerprinting may be required also.
  • Experience leading therapeutic group activities, discussions, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Recreational Therapy, Creative Arts Therapies or related fields.
  • Activity professional certification.
  • Experience in participant assessments and care planning.
