Job summary

Providence PACE in West Seattle, WA is seeking a Recreational Therapist to plan and deliver therapeutic social and recreational activities for elders in a comprehensive care setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy required.
• National Provider BLS (American Heart Association) within 30 days of hire.

• National Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (NCTRS) certification upon hire.

Job Description:

The Recreational Therapist provides a variety of therapeutic social, recreational and diversional events for participants. Conducts individual assessment to identify the participants' individual interests/needs. Develops and implements an appropriate variety of individual and group activities. Participates in interdisciplinary care planning. Coordinates the recreation documentation for her/his assigned group of participants. Assists with training and supervising assigned volunteers.

Required Qualifications:
