Job summary

Legends Global is seeking an Accounting Coordinator to lead hands-on GL accounting, oversee day-to-day sub-ledger activities, and drive accurate monthly closes at the Henrico Sports & Events Center. You will manage AP/AR, payroll, and inventory while preparing financial statements and variance analyses.

The role requires a Bachelor's in accounting or related field, 3–5 years' experience, and CPA preferred. A strong control environment and collaboration with the finance team are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required.
• CPA preferred; knowledge of GAAP and GASB is required.
• 3–5 years of professional accounting experience with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience with sub-ledger accounting and general ledger close.
• Experience preparing financial statements, forecasts, and budget-to-actual analyses.
• Experience supervising or managing clerical accounting staff preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the facility's accounting as the lead accountant; hands-on GL duties.
• Manage day-to-day sub-ledger accounting (AP, AR, payroll, inventory).
• Lead monthly close process and ensure timely, accurate month-end closes.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and other GL activity.
• Maintain GL and ensure transactions are properly recorded and reconciled.
• Prepare and review monthly bank reconciliations and reconciliations of balance sheets.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, forecasts, and budget-to-actual analyses.
• Coordinate with client accounting/finance teams and external auditors.
