Job summary

Paul Davis in Jacksonville is seeking a Lead Accountant to oversee all accounting functions, including GL, AP, AR, and bank reconciliations, and to produce monthly financial statements. The role requires strong QBO proficiency and a focus on process improvement.

You will assist management with job costing, project P/L, and financial analysis, while maintaining accounting records and ensuring compliance with company policies. This is an office-based full-time position with a team-oriented culture.

Qualifications

• Must have 5+ years of accounting experience in remodeling/home improvement/construction.
• Proficient with QuickBooks Online, MS Excel, and MS Word.
• Process oriented and highly organized with strong time management.
• Excellent communication and English fluency.
• Valid driver's license and ability to work full time in office.
• Willing to work overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist team members and collaborate with other departments.
• Manage day-to-day accounting for home improvement projects.
• Monitor business aspects, diagnose problems through listening and questioning.
• Handle all job costing and billing.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and project forecasts.
• Maintain accounting records, computer and financial files.
• Reconcile project budgets and monitor profit margins.
• Maintain compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

What does a Lead Accountant with Paul Davis do?

Team Qualifications (Requirements):
