Job summary

ServiceMaster Clean of Fraser Valley is seeking a Lead Accountant to oversee GL, AP, AR, and monthly statements. You will maintain QuickBooks Online, manage job costing for remodeling projects, and support financial analysis for management.

The role is part-time (20–30 hours/week) with in-person work 4–5 days and flexible scheduling. Candidates should have 5+ years in accounting within construction or remodeling and be highly organized with excellent communication in English.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of accounting experience in remodeling/home improvement/construction sectors.
• Proficient with QuickBooks Online (QBO), MS Excel and MS Word.
• Must be process oriented and highly organized; strong time-management.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English; in-person work availability.
• Ability to prioritize and manage workload across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting functions for home improvement and remodeling projects.
• Manage GL, AP, AR, and bank reconciliations; produce monthly financial statements.
• Maintain QuickBooks Online and ensure data integrity across modules.
• Assist management with job costing, project P/L and financial analysis.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and project forecasts; monitor budgets and margins.
• Maintain all accounting records and ensure policy compliance.
• Collaborate with other departments to foster positive working relationships.

What does a Lead Accountant with our company do?

• Oversee and maintain all accounting functions - GL, AP, AR, bank reconciliations, produce monthly financial statements, etc.
• Update and maintain financial accounting software - Quickbooks online
• Assist the management team in job costing, project P/L and financial analysis

Team Qualifications (Requirements):

• Must have 5+ years of experience in accounting with a remodeling/home improvement/construction company
• Proficient with QBO, MS Excel, MS Word, other software
• Must be process oriented
• Driven to join our team and add value through positivity and dedication
• Must be able to prioritize and manage time, and be extremely organized
• Excellent communication skills
• Fluent in English
• Be willing and able to work 20 - 30 hours weekly, which will vary based on the workload and time of year
• Be willing to work in person 4 - 6 hours per day (4 - 5 days per week depending on your preference)
