Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin invites applications for the Academic Advising Coordinator position in the College of Liberal Arts. This on-campus role leads the Academic Advising Team 3, supervises advisors, and serves as a primary liaison to the Department of Government.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and eight years of experience working with college students or in an academic advising capacity or Master's degree and six years of experience or Doctoral degree and four years of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate an academic advising team, hire/evaluate staff, and supervise advisors.
  • Serve as liaison to the Government department and COLA advising leadership to develop college-wide advising policies.
  • Assist students with degree planning, course selection, and progress to degree.
  • Engage in new student orientation, registration support, and advising education programs.
  • Provide ongoing professional development and monthly participation in advising meetings.
