Job summary

The University of Texas in Austin's College of Liberal Arts seeks an Academic Advising Coordinator to lead and coordinate the Academic Advising Team 3. You will supervise advisors, oversee undergraduate advising, and work with Student Affairs and academic departments to ensure high-quality advising services.

You will develop college-wide advising policies, support registration and orientation, and collaborate with faculty, degree audit teams, and curricular planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and eight years of experience working with college students in an academic advising capacity, or Master’s degree with six years, or Doctoral with four years.
• Required competencies: accuracy and attention to detail, decision making, effective communications, initiative, interpersonal relationships, problem solving, service excellence, teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise Academic Advising Team 3, hire and develop staff, ensure training and consistency across advisors.
• Coordinate advising services for undergraduates and liaise with Liberal Arts Student Affairs and departments.
• Develop college-wide advising policies and procedures to improve advising quality and student success.
