Job summary

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED is required.
• Associate degree or technical certification commonly held at this level.
• FAA certification required within certain technical areas.
• Journeyman Technician role with intermediate skills.
• A&P License and Airframe & Powerplant certificates required.
• FCC General Operator's License a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe work practices are followed.
• Plan, direct and coordinate activities to minimize delays and increase production.
• Provide training and assist subordinates in procedures.
• Provide access to overhaul manuals, service bulletins, and required data.
• Maintain equipment and tools in serviceable condition.
• Ensure all work records are properly executed.
• Handle all parts during repair process and preserve units/parts.
• Initiate requisitions for stock and materials as needed.
• Lead Technician must be properly certificated per FAR Part 65.
• In absence, delegate duties to qualified personnel.
