Job summary

Standard Aero in Augusta, GA, seeks a Lead Licensed Mechanic specialized in Falcon aircraft. You will lead a crew, mentor technicians, plan work scopes, and ensure safety and quality standards across heavy maintenance tasks on Dassault Falcon fleets.

Typical responsibilities include pre-planning jobs, allocating resources, reviewing work orders, and approving technician time. Candidates should have strong leadership, A&P license, and Falcon experience; relocation may be offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a licensed A&P Mechanic.
• Minimum 2 years of experience performing heavy maintenance on Dassault Falcon aircraft.
• Demonstrated leadership and/or supervisory experience.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a crew to ensure high performance and adherence to safety standards.
• Monitor hours charged to jobs to assure cost control and approve technicians' time on tasks.
• Appraise crew members and recommend salary and status changes, recognizing achievements and administering discipline when necessary.
• Pre-plan work scope and action plans for incoming jobs, including ordering parts as needed.
• Deploy resources and assign tasks to crew members efficiently.
• Uses hand tools, precision measuring instruments, gauges, and engine calibration test equipment.
• Implement all paperwork related to job orders and conduct a final review of work order documentation before submitting for quality assurance.
• Monitor progressive sign-offs to ensure all tasks are completed satisfactorily.
• Serve as a technical expert on assigned fleet types, performing hands‑on maintenance as necessary.
