Job summary

Milwaukee Burger Company Appleton is seeking a Kitchen Manager to lead a fast-paced, scratch-kitchen operation. You will supervise daily cooking activities, ensure food safety, and drive quality and guest satisfaction in a high-volume setting.

You will recruit, train, and develop line cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers, manage labor and food costs, and maintain inventory while upholding Wisconsin hospitality standards.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of kitchen management experience in a full-service, high-volume restaurant.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Passion for scratch cooking, quality, and guest satisfaction.
• Experience managing labor, food costs, inventory, and scheduling.
• Ability to recruit, train, mentor, and retain top talent.
• Hands-on leader who isn't afraid to jump on the line.
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead all daily kitchen operations with a focus on food quality, safety, and consistency.
• Coach, train, schedule, and develop Line Cooks, Prep Cooks, and Dishwashers.
• Lead by example by working alongside your team during service.
• Maintain food, labor, and operating costs while achieving financial goals.
• Oversee inventory, ordering, receiving, storage, and product rotation.
• Ensure recipe execution, portion control, presentation, and ticket times.
• Maintain sanitation, cleanliness, and health department standards.
• Build a positive, accountable culture centered around teamwork and growth.
