Job summary

Kettle Moraine YMCA is seeking a 4K Substitute Teacher in the West Bend, Wisconsin area. The role supports the 4K Manager by carrying out lesson plans and maintaining classroom management in collaboration with the West Bend School District and YMCA staff.

Required: substitute teaching license and ability to meet DCF Group Child Care Center rules; CPR/AED preferred and background checks completed within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Teaching license or Substitute teaching license is required.
• Current CPR/AED certification preferred; required within 30 days of hire.
• Must complete and pass fingerprint check.
• Must complete a Health Physical and TB test within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to interact with children at their cognitive level.

Responsibilities

• Follows the classroom teacher's lesson plans and maintains classroom management.
• Collaborates with Co-Teachers and Teacher Assistants in the YMCA and West Bend School District.
• Communicates positively with children and families, and with co-instructors.
• Supports and follows IEPs and reports issues to the 4K Manager.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
