Wisconsin Youth Company is hiring a 4K Wrap Lead Teacher for a full-time role at Franklin Elementary School within the Madison Metropolitan School District. The position combines in-person classroom work with children and built-in planning time.

The role emphasizes lesson planning, relationship-building with families and school staff, and maintaining high-quality program standards. The ideal candidate will be organized, possess leadership abilities, and have experience with DCF licensing.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age and possess college-level coursework in Education (early childhood, elementary or related).
• Confident managing a large group of children and showing leadership abilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and relationship-building with families and staff.
• Experience with DCF state licensing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the 4K wrap program and ensure quality standards.
• Plan and implement lessons for children and foster positive relationships with children, families and school personnel.
• Coordinate with school staff and manage planning time within the 40-hour week.

Location

We are currently hiring for Franklin Elementary School in the Madison Metropolitan School District. Programs take place in the school buildings. Administrative work, such as lesson planning, is paid and occurs outside of program hours. Staff can work from home or Wisconsin Youth Company’s co-working office in Madison.

What You'll Do

Position Summary: The 4K Wrap Lead Teacher is responsible for the daily operations of their assigned 4K wrap program. Responsibilities include lesson planning and implementation for children as well as fostering positive relationships with children, families, and school personnel while ensuring program quality standards are met.

Hours & Pay

This is a school year position with the option to join our summer team.

Up to $20 per hour, pay is based on education and experience.

40 hours per week, Monday 7 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. and Tuesday-Friday 10 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Position includes paid planning time built into 40 hour/week schedule.
