Job summary

MSU Extension seeks a Presque Isle 4-H Program Coordinator to lead local 4-H youth development efforts, recruit and train volunteers, and expand programs in Presque Isle County. You collaborate with the Children & Youth Institute and TY, build partnerships with schools and community groups, and ensure programs reach diverse youth and families while managing resources and reporting.

You will promote MSU Extension programs and provide leadership to local clubs and after-school activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience in program development and management in 4-H or youth development.
• Volunteer management experience.
• Ability to work with diverse communities.
• Strong teamwork and leadership.
• Proficiency with technology tools (Zoom, Qualtrics, MS Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and travel.

Responsibilities

• Train 4-H volunteers to engage youth and families across communities.
• Build partnerships with schools and community groups.
• Attend Leaders’ Council meetings and coordinate county projects.
• Provide leadership in volunteer management and fundraising activities.
• Lead needs assessments to guide program topics and delivery.
