Job summary

Axcelis is seeking a 2nd Shift Manufacturing Test Engineering Supervisor in Beverly, MA to lead a team of test and manufacturing engineers. You will drive daily test activities, oversee test equipment, and partner with Operations, Quality, and Product Development to improve yield and reliability.

The role emphasizes leadership, CAPA, and continuous improvement in a high-volume electronics manufacturing environment with opportunities for automation and cost reduction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or related technical field.
• 5+ years of manufacturing test engineering experience with leadership.
• Experience with automated test equipment and production troubleshooting.
• Strong root cause analysis methodologies, SPC and continuous improvement.
• Able to read complex schematics/drawings.
• Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and develop a team of test engineers and technicians.
• Lead daily test engineering activities to meet production goals and quality targets.
• Drive troubleshooting and root cause analysis of failures.
• Develop and optimize manufacturing test processes and documentation.
• Oversee installation, maintenance, and improvement of test equipment.
• Monitor KPIs: yield, cycle time, uptime, first-pass yield.
• Lead CAPA activities and support audits.
• Identify opportunities for automation and cost reduction.
• Support NPI and transition from development to production.
