Job summary

SABG is hiring a Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Advanced Operations Support Watch Officer to support the GM Alaska Operations Support Center at Ft. Greely, Alaska.

The role entails leading 24/7 operations and coordinating with mission partners to monitor and report events related to the Missile Defense System. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree with extensive leadership and operational analysis experience, plus specialized training in watch operations and analysts

Qualifications

• Must be fully trained in Watch Officer and Operations Support Analysts duties and able to work a rotating shift schedule (7 on/7 off, 12-hour shifts).
• Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years’ experience analyzing and reporting operational activities.
• Experience leading complex teams in an operational environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead GM Operations Support Watch Officer/Operations Support Analysts in the AOSC.
• Manage 24/7/365 operations, monitoring, deconfliction, coordination, and reporting of events.
• Schedule staff to ensure 24/7 staffing with qualified Watch Officers.
• Interact as SME and primary contact for AOSC activities.
• Use BSAT, ODIN, and coordinate with Combatant Command GM managers for real-time actions.
• Prepare CIR, LOGREP, Status Reports as needed.
• Provide professional presentations to senior leaders.
• Track maintenance and development using WAM.
• Enter LOGREPs into MDRS and support data pulls.
