Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in social work, counseling or psychology; LCDP required.
• Master’s degree in Behavioral Sciences preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in behavioral health care.
• Experience with substance abuse, mental health, cognitive behavior treatment and motivational interviewing.
• Knowledge of electronic health record software and documentation.
• Knowledge of ASAM criteria.
• Counseling adults; understanding of psychotropic medications.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group and family counseling.
• Conduct clinical assessments for new patients and ongoing assessments.
• Participate in treatment team meetings and program staff meetings.
• Ensure documentation meets contract, licensure, accreditation and documentation standards.
• Communicate with UR department on patient care aspects.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Assist in monitoring and managing patient community as a therapeutic milieu.
