Behavioral Health Group is seeking an Substance Abuse Counselor to provide compassionate, patient-centered counseling and to develop treatment plans for individuals on their recovery journey.

The role emphasizes counseling sessions, intake guidance, and connecting patients to community resources, with a focus on dignity and respect in a fast-paced clinical setting. Strong licensure criteria apply, with licensure support offered where applicable.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required in Human Services or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience providing counseling services.
• Must hold one of the following licenses: LPC, LADAC I, LADAC II, LCSW, LMSW.
• If not licensed, candidates must be enrolled in or willing to begin licensure toward licensure at date of hire.
• State-level requirements must be met.

Responsibilities

• Build trusting relationships by providing individual and group counseling for people recovering from drug use and alcohol disorders.
• Welcome new and returning patients by guiding them through the intake and orientation process.
• Connect patients with community resources and help them access the support they need.
• Follow up on referrals and perform necessary follow-ups.
• Foster an inclusive environment where every patient is treated with dignity, respect, and compassion.
• Comply with all federal, state, and local regulatory agency requirements.
